FREE EVENT FOR PARENTS, CAREGIVERS AND CHILDREN. The End of Summer Bash: School Success Readiness Workshop is tomorrow, Friday, September 4th, 2015 @ 1:00pm-3:00pm. At this free event, there will be advice from experts, food, raffle, music, kids activities, and giveaways (child must be present to receive a backpack). The Salvation Army and Wayne County will provide FREE child support assistance to persons present on October 11, 2015 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Detroit Public Library located at 5201 Woodward Ave., Detroit, Michigan. Suggested Participants: Fathers, male caregivers, father figures, Wayne County stakeholders from Community Mental Health, Child Welfare, Juvenile Justice, Public Health, Schools and Coordinating Agencies. Additionally, Case Managers, Counselors, Parent Support Partners, Social Workers, Therapists and Youth. Training Description: We often find that fathers are not included in the treatment process. It has long been acknowledged that parents are critical to emotional well being of children.
